Mechanical Master

Once you reach level 45 in the game a new building makes itself available and you get to choose a job specialization. Combat Elite or Mechanical Master, in essence these are jobs that complement each other and a good alliance will always have a good balance of both jobs. When deciding which path to follow it is always good to ask yourself "Am I a fighter?" or "Am I a builder?". The answer to that question will help you decide which path to take because Combat Elite is a fighting class and Mechanical Master is a support class.

Today we will be talking specifically about:

Mechanical Master

Mechanical masters can study the resource facility skill which enables you to build resource tiles on the map.

After reaching the maximum level of the Mechanical Master path you can choose one of two specialized classes, Great Craftsman or Great Scientist.

Preparation:

Resources - Everyday when you're done playing send one or two of your troop lines to collect in a Food or Oil resource field. You will need a large amount of resources for all of the perks you will need to research in order to progress along the path you have chosen. 

Mechanical Gear - If you have chosen mechanical master then you will also want to start collecting Mechanical Gears (pictured below)

How to obtain Mechanical Gears:

Legion Store

Depending on your Legion Rank you can purchase up to 3 per day for 200 Legion Points per day. The Legion store can be found on your daily quest page at the top right.

Expedition Store

Depending on your Expedition Rank you can purchase up to 1 per day for 6,000 Expedition Points per day.

You can also purchase up to 2 Class Item Chests per day for 6,000 Expedition Points per day.

Treasure Store

Periodically in the treasure store you can purchase Class Item Chests that can be converted to Mechanical Gears for 200 gems, occasionally they can be found in there for 100 gems.

Other Places/Events to Obtain Class Items Chests:

A) Top War offers occasional Value Packs that sell them (this costs real money, do not recommend unless you are anxious to complete or start researching perks).

B) Alliance Defense rewards.

C) Beach Landing rewards (free and expanded rewards).

D) Warzone SVS Rewards.

E) Silo Scramble event (Alliance rankings 1-5)

F) Supply Contest in the Airdrop Store.

These are NOT all the places and events you can obtain Class Item Chests from. Explore Top War and figure out where else you can find them.

Enhanced Resource Tiles

In order to research these perks you must have completely researched the previous tier of perks and reached level 45.

These have 3 tiers of research and each tier reduces the amount of time required to build the enhanced resource facility and increases it's lifespan. Fully upgraded they will take 33 minutes to build and will remain on the world map for 8 hours.

Enhanced Gathering Speed I

This perk is a shared perk. Anyone who gathers inside your Enhanced Resource Tiles will also obtain this bonus while they are using them. In order to research these you must have completely researched the previous tier of perks and reached Level 50. There are three tiers in this perk, each research level increases the gathering speed boost until it is maxed out at 10%.

Military Attack

In order to research these you must have completely researched the previous tier of perks and reached Level 55.

Enhanced Gathering Speed II

In order to research these you must have completely researched the previous tier of perks and reached Level 60.

Open Specialization

In order to research these you must have completely researched the previous tier of perks and reached Level 60.
